Plot Overview

Antboy follows Pelle NΓΈhrmann (Oscar Dietz), a shy and overlooked 12-year-old who longs to fit in. His ordinary life changes dramatically when a genetically modified ant bites him, giving him superpowers like strength, agility, and wall-climbing abilities. Inspired by classic comic book heroes, Pelle takes on the mantle of “Antboy,” with his quirky, comic-obsessed friend Wilhelm (Samuel Ting Graf) serving as his sidekick and mastermind.

Initially reveling in his newfound powers and growing popularity, Pelle soon faces his greatest challenge: a menacing villain known as The Flea (Nicolas Bro), a former scientist with a dangerous agenda. As Pelle battles to protect his town, he must also navigate the challenges of being a kid and a superhero, discovering the true meaning of courage, friendship, and what it takes to be a real hero.
