Thor faces a new threat when the Dark Elves, led by Malekith, seek to unleash a deadly weapon known as the Aether. After Jane Foster accidentally absorbs the Aether, Thor brings her to Asgard to protect her, but Malekith launches a devastating attack on the realm, endangering everyone.
To stop Malekith, Thor reluctantly teams up with his mischievous brother Loki, who seeks redemption after his previous misdeeds. Their uneasy alliance leads them to Svartalfheim, the Dark Elves’ home world, where they attempt to destroy the Aether.
In a climactic showdown, Thor battles Malekith as the Convergence, a rare alignment of realms, threatens to merge worlds and spread destruction. With the help of Jane and her team, Thor defeats Malekith, saving the universe and separating the Aether for safekeeping.
