Wonder Woman 1984 (2020) follows Diana Prince as she navigates life in the 1980s, working as a museum curator while secretly protecting the world as Wonder Woman. Despite her heroic duties, she remains lonely, still mourning Steve Trevorโ€™s death decades earlier.

Dianaโ€™s life takes a turn when she and her colleague, Barbara Minerva, come across the Dreamstone, a mysterious artifact that grants wishes. Diana unknowingly wishes for Steveโ€™s return, bringing him back in another man’s body, while Barbara wishes to be strong and confident, slowly transforming into the ruthless Cheetah. Meanwhile, ambitious businessman Maxwell Lord gets hold of the stone and uses its power to manipulate the world, granting wishes in exchange for control.

As chaos spreads, Diana realizes the cost of her wishโ€”her powers are fading. To stop Maxwell and restore balance, she faces a heartbreaking choice: renounce her wish and lose Steve again. In an emotional moment, she bids him farewell, regains her strength, and confronts Maxwell, who has become dangerously powerful.

Instead of using brute force, Diana appeals to humanity, urging people to renounce their wishes. Her words, along with Maxwellโ€™s realization about his sonโ€™s safety, lead to the stoneโ€™s power being undone. Barbara, refusing to renounce her wish, is defeated but survives.

With the world restored, Diana continues her mission, finding hope in humanity and embracing her role as Wonder Woman, proving that true strength comes from sacrifice and compassion.
